Dress Code and Local Rules

Dress Code Rules:

Riverlakes Golf and Country Club ask that the following Dress Code Rules apply whenever you come to enjoy our course:

Dress for Men

  1. Men are required to wear collared shirts with sleeves. Shirts must not display any advertising that is not directly related to sponsorship of golf, clothing manufacturers logo accepted. Fluroscent work shirts not accepted. Shirts with messages, cartoons, loud advertising slogans or markings are not permitted.
  2. Trousers should be plain. Tailored shorts with short white socks which cover the ankles are also permitted.
  3. Denim clothing, track tops, and leisure suits are not permitted.

Dress for Women

  1. Women are required to where dress tops covering shoulders and collared shirts.
  2. Dress bottoms to be mid length or longer and tailored.
  3. Denim clothing, track tops and leisure suits are not permitted.

Shoes

All players and visitors must wear fully enclosed shoes on the course at all times. METAL SPIKES ARE PROHIBITED. Ripple soles, thongs, sandals and shoes without appropriate socks are not permitted on the Course or in the Clubhouse.

Responsibility

It is the responsibility of Members to ensure that they and their guests comply with the Club's dress code requirements.

Visitors are also required to comply with the Club's dress code. Any member of the Board or the General Manager (or an employee so empowered by the General Manager) has the power to call to task any member, guest or visitor who is not suitably presented.

Any player not conforming to these dress requirements may be denied access to the Course and/or Clubhouse. All Club and Professional Shop staff are empowered to enforce the dress code.

 

 

Local Rules

  1. Players must be correctly attired. Collared shirts required.
  2. Each player must have a set of clubs. Maximum 4 players per group.
  3. Ground staff have right of way at all times.
  4. Golf Carts: Maximum 2 persons/2 bags per cart. Not to be driven on green surrounds, tees or wet areas. Carts must not be driven by anyone under 18 years of age.
  5. Any person found to be in possession of range balls will be prosecuted.
  6. Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes with black tops. Note: When playing the 15th hole, the right hand side of the water is O.O.B.
  7. Immovable Obstructions: All cart paths through the green and distance markers are to be treated as immovable obstructions. (Rule 24.2).
  8. Obstructions: All course irrigation equipment. Note: A ball striking power lines must be replayed without penalty.
  9. Ground Under Repair (G.U.R): Defined by white stakes and/or lines.
  10. Distance Measuring Devices: For all play at this course, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc) the player is in breach of Rule 14.3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.
