1st
hole

Par 4 | 241 Metres | Index 18

This hole requires accuracy of the tee not length. The use of an iron, hybrid or lofted fairway wood is recommended to keep you short of the bunker on the left and away from the water on the right of this hole. You will be left with a mid to short iron into this green which slopes towards the water.

2nd
hole

Par 5 | 535 Metres | Index 8

This par five requires an accurate tee shot to avoid trees left and right of this hole. You will also need to clear a small pond for your tee shot. Once on the fairway choose a club to get you onto the last third of this fairway to give you a flat lie for your approach to a large mostly flat green. There is a small pond to the back and left of the green which will catch an errant shot.

3rd
hole

Par 3 | 130 Metres |Index 16

Club selection is crucial for this hole. This par three requires a tee shot over water. With the tee set lower than the green it can also be difficult to work out wind direction. A bunker in front and behind this green will also catch your tee shot.

4th
hole

Par 4 | 340 Metres | Index 3

This par four tee shot requires you to hit over a small hill to give an open approach to the green. California Creek borders the right hand side of this fairway and continues all the way around in front of the green. The front of the green has a rock wall so choosing the correct club for clearing the water and the wall is important. This green slopes severely from front to back which makes putting difficult. Two green side bunkers should be avoided if a safe par is to be made.

5th
hole

Par 4 | 385 Metres | Index 2

This par four requires you to hit over California Creek and avoid the creek on the right hand side of the fairway. So a tee shot down the left hand side of the fairway is great as this gives a clear shot to a well bunkered kidney shaped green. This hole is made harder when the flag is tucked on the right hand side of the green which may not be visible from the fairway.

6th
hole

Par 5 | 450 Metres | Index 10

This par five requires you to make a decision on the tee. Do I hit driver or do I lay up? California Creek runs across this fairway forcing you to make this decision. If you lay up, make sure you use a hybrid or iron. When you lay up, make sure you avoid the pond on the left and the wetland area on the right. If you take a driver off the tee a good drive can leave you with a long to mid iron into the green.

7th
hole

Par 4 | 285 Metres | Index 13

This par four requires you to hit an accurate tee shot with a hybrid or fairway wood. This hole doglegs to the right with your second shot going over California Creek. Choosing a club for your second shot is difficult as the green sits higher than the fairway and can be as much as three different clubs from the front to the back of this green.

8th
hole

Par 3 | 169 Metres | Index 12

A great looking par three slightly up hill with a long well bunkered green requires you to think about the club selection off the tee.

9th
hole

Par 4 | 385 Metres | Index 5

This dogleg right hole requires you to hit the left half of the fairway to leave you a clear shot to the green. On your second shot make sure you choose the right club as there is a large ridge coming off the left hand bunker that virtually splits this green in half.

10th
hole

Par 4 | 387 Metres | Index 1

This is the hardest ranked hole at Riverlakes and a good test of nerves. Your tee shot is mostly over water and must find the narrow fairway that doglegs left around the main lake. Once on the fairway you are faced with a long second shot into a long narrow green with bunkers to the right of green and water to the left.

11th
hole

Par 4 | 292 Metres | Index 14

A short par four that requires good placement of your tee shot to find the fairway. A big gum tree on the right blocks your view of the fairway and bunkers on the left will catch any tee shot hit left. The right hand side of this fairway is the best angle into this very small narrow green which is split in two with a ridge coming off the left hand side bunker.

12th
hole

Par 4 | 335 Metres | Index 9

This hole has a tee shot over a slight hill to a fairway that has water to the left and clump of trees in the fairway on the right half. It is best to lay up short of these trees but if you take driver make sure you hit left of the trees. Your second shot needs to be precise as just to the right as over the back of this green is a water hazard.

13th
hole

Par 5 | 552 Metres | Index 4

The longest hole at Riverlakes is a great par five. Your tee shot is over a small pond to a sloping fairway. Your next shot needs to be hit as far up the fairway as possible as the last third of this hole is uphill and a water hazard runs all the way along the green to the right. Make par here and you should feel very happy!

14th
hole

Par 3 | 177 Metres | Index 6

A great par three where you need to hit the green. Water to the right and bunkers to the left create a great challenge for you to pick the right club.

15th
hole

Par 4 | 280 Metres | Index 17

This par four allows you to choose any club you like as long as you hit the fairway as there is water all the way down the right hand side of the fairway. Once you're on the fairway your second shot is over the water to a narrow green. There are mounds at the back of this green which make for a great back stop if you're afraid of hitting into the water.

16th
hole

Par 3 | 171 Metres | Index 11

A fairly straightforward par three with a bunker front left and water to the right. Choose the right club to hit the centre of this green and you won't be far away from the flag.

17th
hole

Par 3 | 140 Metres | Index 15

This par three is over water to a long, narrow green, so club selection is very important if you want to make par.

18th
hole

Par 4 | 363 Metres | Index 7

A strong dogleg left hole with water to the right and out of bounds left makes for a difficult tee shot. A three wood off the tee is best to find the fairway. Your second shot looks at a well bunkered green on the left and mounds on the right.
